The Strictly ‘trained dancer’ controversy is absurd – without them, the show would die

It’s been a very different series of Strictly Come Dancing, thanks to Covid, but some things remain the same: Tess Daly’s startling wardrobe choices, at least one rumour of a “showmance”, and the age-old debate over whether trained dancers should be allowed to compete on the show.
