hampstead theatreIt’s official: the north is the place to be. Under the exemplary artistic directorship of Edward Hall, London’s Hampstead Theatre is packing in the audiences while enjoying what could best be described as a dream run.

Sold-out shows and West End transfers are now de rigueur (Chariots of Fire, The Judas Kiss), thespian stars grace both performance spaces (Tamsin Grieg, Anna Chancellor, Mark Gatiss, Sheila Hancock, Rupert Everett, to name but a few), and this thriving studio destination has become a melting pot of established and emerging talent (Nina Raine and Nicholas Wright; Mike Bartlett and Howard Brenton; Amelia Bullmore and David Hare).
